I have started working in a spa as an esthetician who provides facials, all types of waxes, makeup applications, stress relieving body treatments, and treatments for different skin issues. I am trying to build up a clientele, and I was wondering if anyone could think of any ways to spark new clients’ interests. What types of advertising or promotions or services would make you want to come in without having an appointment first?
I am a current manager of a spa, so my advice to you would be to buy some notecards and write down information about you clients. Say for example someone named Ashley Smithcomes to see you and she tells you she has two kids and is going on a trip to Florida. WRITE THIS DOWN. This way the next time she comes in you can say "How was your trip to Florida?" "How are your kids?" It is very personal and working with people in waxing and facials, etc is a very personal business. This shows your client that you care to remember them. Just dont let them know that you have a card reminding you of all the stuff they tell you. They will then tell their friends about you and before you know it, you will be receiving requests left and right!! Good Luck. Let me know if you have any more questions.

you could try a free trial. Like a free make-up sample or 1 free waxing or something like that. Be creative. You’ll figure something out.

the 1st i’ve been to a spa was a gift certificate that was for $50.00. that was a great price knowing that spas can be a little pricey.for that i got a manicure, facial, aromatherapy, and 30 min massage. if i wanted to i could add somethingto the package or buy some of the products while i was there. I didnt have to do it all at once i could do it whenever all i had to do was make an appt. so this was a convenience to me. this was a new place and they were trying to get you in there and hoping you would come back, i loved it. even though i didnt get the normal hour massage, or the fancy acrylic nails it really made me want to come back. try this and let me know if it works.
