I purchased a series of spa treatments and now I want a refund?

Two months ago, I purchased a second set of spa treatments, but due to scheduling conflicts, I haven’t been able to go. As much as I like the spa, I don’t like the idea of them having my money when I haven’t been getting treated. My scheduling conflicts were not expected…otherwise I would not have purchased the second set. How do I ***politely*** request a refund?

Thanks

Good luck! Maybe they can extend your expiration date under "special" circumstances. What is their policy?

Can you sell them to someone else? Maybe Even at a discount, that way it’s not an entire waste?

Read your contract, which probably covers this kind of situation. If you still want to request a refund, explain your situation & put yourself at their mercy. Don’t be surprised if no refund is due, despite any politeness.

No matter how politely you request a refund, they are unlikely to give it to you, since the contract you probably signed with them had rules about cancellation. However, they will want your repeat/return business, and they may be kind and generous and return your money to you.

The best thing to do is to explain your situation, without whining, and your sincere desire to return later on when your scheduling conflicts are resolved. If they are unwilling to give you a refund, ask them what, if any, alternatives they can offer you, such as a longer amount of time in which to reschedule the treatments you’ve already paid for, or a partial credit towards other services.

It’s best to be polite and kind first, and then if that’s not working, be respectful but firm and request to speak to the next person up, the manager/supervisor, and if they are unhelpful, the owner, even.

    Good luck!
