What is the difference between a salon and a day spa?

Opening salon/day spa and need to know what constitutes a salon vs. day spa?services provided? I am going to have tanning/hair/mani./pedi.

Salon is for hair and nails… maybe waxing?

A day Spa is for massage and facials that usually require a licensed masseur and esthitician on premises. Not just some random hairdresser moonlighting…
