I want to have more beauty and spa tips so, yea. thanks!
Facial Mask:
This at-home mask can be simply made in under a minute.
· Mix 1-2 tbsp. of clay powder (available at health food stores) with spring water until paste is smooth
· Apply with fingertips or spatula all over the face except the eye areas
· Leave for 15 minutes and rinse off with warm water
Ingredients may vary according to skin type:
· For dry skin: Add 1 tbsp. of olive oil
· For normal skin: Add 1 tbsp. of plain yogurt
· For oily skin: Add 2 tbsp. of lemon juice
Sea Salt Foot & Body Bath:
This luxurious, soothing bath can be used as a foot soak or as an all over bath for the body – restoring the feet and body to a calm and balanced state. Ready in under a minute, it is suitable for all skin types.
Foot Soak:
· Mix 1/4 cup of sea salt to a bowl or pedicure style basin filled with hot water
A choice of essential oils can be added as well. Below are some of Kimberly’s suggestions:
· LAVENDER
Lavender is Kimberly’s first choice for the foot soak, especially for those suffering from athlete’s foot or similar foot conditions. Lavender is also a great antiseptic and purifier. Add 10-15 drops of Lavender Oil to enjoy its relaxing aroma.
· LEMON
Has a wonderful cleansing and refreshing aroma, allows the feet and body to deep cleanse and renew.
· NEROLI
This is a wonderful treatment oil for dry cracked skin – it is extremely restorative and calming!
· TANGERINE
A fantastic aromatic oil that calms and soothes the nervous system.
Body Bath:
For the full body bath, this same soak can be created in your tub. Simply triple the ingredients!
Hope this helps!

My husband loves to fish! We both love the Florida Keys and particularly Marathon Key. I would love to stay in nice hotel with a kitchenette that also has spa services. I would also like to charter a boat that could accommodate us overnight. Does anyone have any suggestions, or had a similar vacation experience? If so, please let me know where you stayed.
Thank you!
Renting a house or a condo would be a great idea for you and your husband, as you are much more likely to find one with a kitchenette. There are a lot of choices for rentals in the Florida area. I’m not sure how much you are looking to spend, so I would say that it’s best to do your homework and use online research to find available places to stay that fit within your budget.
Rather than give you a specific property name and location, I would suggest that you do some research on the available houses/condos, the prices and the locations. I have used justvr.com in the past and it was quite helpful for narrowing down my choices and booking a few nights stay.
I am basically looking for picturers and facilities offered there.
i think you shud check this out…

I’m looking for a good day spa that’s not at one of the expensive resorts close to the Kona coast.
Unfortunately, Kona is a tourist area and most spas in the areas are going to be at the bigger hotels = bigger price.
Check out the link below for other spas in the area, however, I don’t know anything about them, where they are located, or what their prices are.
Good luck!
i was wondering because i heard you can go into labor from it. i realize i’m probably not far enough along to matter yet, but i wanted to double check =)
Sure, a pedicure will not affect your pregnancy.
There is an article I found that suggests you should have them avoid your ankles if they are giving you a massage because of a small chance of pressure points there triggering contractions. Personally, I don’t buy that, but you can have them avoid doing that just in case if you want to. The only other thing it mentions as a concern is fumes from the polish they might use on your feet. Most places are going to be ventilated well enough, so I really don’t think it should be a concern for you. Other than that, no problems with getting a pedicure.

I’m not sure what part of Norfolk you’re in (it’s quite a big county).
If you are around the Kings Lynn area you could try Knights Hill. Not been there myself but I know they have the facilities.
I want to get her something she’d like. She’s not high maintenance at all, but I want to get her something she wouldn’t get herself that would let her know I love her. She’s 28, and despite my efforts in talking to friends and family, can’t really figure out what would be a good gift for her birthday. Thanks for your help!
You can plan a scavenger hunt for her to find the present and the hunt can end at the Spa place or at a great restaurant that she likes? If I knew her I could tell you more XD Hope this gives you a good idea, though and good luck.
I dont have time to run out a buy anything so keep that in mind. Tommorows my last day of winter break so I want to make it relaxing. What should I do?Thanks for all the help!
Homemade Face Masques:
* MAYONNAISE. Apply whole egg mayonnaise on your face (right from the jar) for about 20 minutes. Rinse with cool water. Great skin care treatment.
* PEACH & BRANDY. Mash up a peach (use ripe, canned or frozen) and mix in a tablespoon of brandy. Leave it on for 20 minutes, then rinse off.
* TOMATO MASK. For oily skin, mash up a ripe tomato and leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse with warm (not hot) water.
* BANANA MASH. Mash up a very ripe banana. Add just enough honey to make a soft pulp. Apply over face and hair.
* HONEY MASK. Apply pure honey (straight from the bottle) to your face and neck. Allow it to set until dry (about 15 minutes). Rinse with very warm water.
* MILK OF MAGNESIA. Apply it straight from the bottle. Let it dry for about five to ten minutes. Rinse off with warm water, then gently pat your face dry with a fluffy towel.
* PEPTO BISMOL. This is a face mask particularly suited for those with sensitive skin. In the same way that this product coats the stomach, it gently caresses the face. Apply it straight from the bottle, using a cotton swab. Allow to dry, then rinse with cool water.
*FOR OILY OR ACNE PRONE SKIN: 1 medium size apple, grated fine combined with 5 tbs. honey
*CARROT: 2-3 large carrots and 4 1/2 tablespoons honey
Directions: Cook carrots, then mash. Mix with honey. Apply gently to the skin, wait 10 minutes. Rinse off with cool water.
*TROPICAL CITRUS MASK: If you want to avoid lots of clean up, before applying this mask cover your face with cheesecloth (with holes cut out for eyes and mouth). Mix together: 1 ripe banana, 1 tsp. Olive oil, 1 drop Orange essential oil. Smooth over face and leave on for 15 – 20 minutes. Rinse off with tepid water. Smooth on a rich moisturizer.
Hair Mask:
*FOR SHINE: Lightly beat two eggs mixed with some milk and run throughout your hair. Leave on for 5 minutes, rinse and you’ll see a shine instantly.
*MAYAN HAIR MASK: Ancient Mayan Inca and Aztec women believed that avocados fed the skin from the inside and outside. Make sure you save the avocado pit, setting it in a place where it can dry out. Mix together: ½ ripe avocado, 1 tbsp. olive oil, ½ small banana and 1 egg yolk. Gently massage onto hair and scalp and cover with a shower cap. Leave on 1 hour and rinse thoroughly with warm water. Shampoo as usual.
Bath Additives:
*MOOD ENHANCER: Add 1/4 cup of pure vanilla extract to a warm bath. Vanilla has the ability to lift spirits and revive.
*MOOD ENHANCER: Take a handful of pine needles and place them in the foot of old panty hose. Knot around the faucet and let the pine hydrate under running bath water.
*SOFTER SKIN: Take an old sock, fill it with Oatmeal (Quakers is good) and drop into you bath. Immediately softens skin!
Eye Brightener:
*UNDER EYE CIRCLES: To lighten dark circles under your eyes, wrap a grated raw potato in cheesecloth and apply to eyelids for 15-20 minutes. Wipe off the residue and apply an eye cream.
Lips
* HONEY ORANGE LIP BALM: If you like your lip balm to have a thinner, glossier consistency, use more olive oil. If you like a thicker, creamier feel, use less. Heat 2 tbsp. Chopped beeswax in a double boiler until melted. Remove from heat. Slowly pour (up to you) cup olive oil into beeswax and stir to mix. Add 1 ½ tbsp. honey and 5 drops Orange essential oil. Stir continuously to mix until cool. Pour into a clean container with a lid. Tightly seal.
Feet
*BEAUTIFUL FEET: If you take 1 cup Lemon Juice, Cinnamon (for smell), 2 tablespoons (or less) olive oil, 1/4 cup of milk, and water you can make a wash that leaves skin refreshed and fragrant (the amount of water does not matter). If you do not like the cinnamon smell you can replace it with another spice, perfume, or flower petals such as roses. After you make it, you can put it in a tub were you can soak your feet or body. Next dry your feet or rinse them with water and a MILD soap.
This is where we stayed for 9 nights. It was awesome and we definitely recommend this place over ANYWHERE else on Phi Phi Island. It may cost a little more than the other resorts on Phi Phi Island but trust me, it’s worth it! Since Thai $ is weaker for most countries, you’ll save a lot in the long run for little things like gifts, snacks, tours and services. Kap khun kap Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort and Spa!
